How to Stop your Fixie when Riding Fixed Gear

If your are thinking about buying a fixie or your are riding single speed and want to flip your wheel around (if you have a flip-flop hub of course!) and ride fixed gear, the most common concern people have is how do I come to a stop. The below video shows you 3 techniques on how to stop – the skip stop, the skid and applying back pressure. Practicing all three will help you become a better rider and be in more control over your fixie. Eventually, you won’t need any brakes to help slow you down but this should only be done if you are 100% confident in your bike handling skills. We always recommend to ride with at least a front brake.\r\n\r\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQu1rNs0an0
